Every bar should be so lucky to have a brandanista

There's a bar in the next town that is cool enough that the local art students want to hang out there, as do the 40- and 50-somethings who are venturing out again now that their kids don't need quite so much attention. But what most people might not notice is that The Rendevous is also a very cohesive brand.

From named gay nights to this week's Obamarama to knitting and drawing circles, many a plain Jane evening is made special by posters, post cards, and e-mails that add sparkle and bling. That's because this bar is lucky enough to have Anja Schütz in the family, a great graphic designer who also pours beer. And check it out: according to her Facebook page she's "hoping someone will drop a full-time design job at a great design firm on her lap." I say hire this talented woman.
